Funeral services for Elbert L. Stout were held in Missoula on March 19 at the Lucy's chapel with the Rev. C.E. Smith officiating. Burial was in Missoula. He was born at Penalosa, Kansas, November 18, 1887, and came to Coffee Creek in 1910 with his parents, where he lived until 1928. He was married to Amelia Fulbright in 1914. Three children were born to them. He and his family moved to Arlee in 1928 where they resided until 1945 when they removed to Hot Springs where he made his home until his death on March 15. He is survived by his widow, a son, Edward, of Aberdeen, Wash., two daughters, Mrs. Nellie Mangold of Aberdeen, Wash., and Mrs. Bessie Webb of Colville, Wash., six grandchildren, three brothers, Ephraim Stout of Alberton, Russell Stout of Coffee Creek, and Dewey Stout of Astoria, Ore., on sister, Mrs. Mindie Fulbright, of Payette, Idaho, and a number of nieces and nephews. He has many friends who regret his passing and who extend their sincere sympathy to the family.
