CARBONDALE --- Marcella "Sally" Hesser, 68, Carbondale, died Monday, April 4, 2005, at her home.
She was born Oct. 25, 1936, in Council Grove, the daughter of George and Marjorie Roberts Stone.
She grew up in Council Grove and lived in Topeka before moving to Carbondale.
Sally had been a homemaker. She was a member of Light of the World Christian Center in Topeka.
She married Earl Stanley Hesser on June 12, 1952, in Council Grove. He preceded her in death on May 6, 1988. Also preceding her were a son, Gary Earl Hesser, on May 29, 1976, and her father, George, on Jan. 12, 1986.
Surviving are her mother, Marjorie Casey, Council Grove; her son, Randy Hesser, and wife, Sheryl, Carbondale; two daughters, Lorrie Mott, and husband, Keith, Carbondale, and Cheryel McNary, and husband, Rodney, Oskaloosa; four brothers, Wayne Stone, Tom Stone and Alvin Stone, all of Council Grove, and Roy Stone, of Phoenix; five sisters, Carol Grover, Phoenix, Joyce Stone and Norma Buckridge, both of Council Grove, Elaine Jackson, Carterville, Ga., and JoAnn Ghumm, Hays; 13 grandchildren; and seven great- grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Carbondale Cemetery, where interment will follow.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Feltner Funeral Chapel in Lyndon. Memorials may be given to Heartland Hospice and sent in care of Feltner Funeral Home, Box 160, Lyndon, Kan. 66451.
