Picher, Okla., March 25.—Funeral services for Alene Stone, five weeks old, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Stone, 436 South Alta street, who was found dead in bed at 2 o'clock Sunday morning, were held this afternoon at the First Methodist church with the Rev. D. W. Brashear in charge. Burial was in Hill Crest cemetery, Galena. A physician summoned after the baby was found, said the child probably died from suffocation.

Baby Suffocates In Bed at Picher
PICHER, March 25 — Alene Stone, 5-months-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Stone, 436 South Alta street, died unexpectedly early Sunday morning. Death was attributed to suffocation. The child child (sic) died in bed with its parents. When the parents awakened yesterday morining (sic), they discovered the little girl's death, which according to a physician, probably was due to suffocation. Funeral services were conducted at the First Methodist church at 1 o'clock this afternoon. The Rev. D. W. Brashear, pastor of the church, officiated. Burial was in Hillcrest cemetery at Galena, Kas., under direction of the Durnil Funeral home.
