1901 Biography Memoirs of Wabash County:
Edgar Stone, electrician, Superintendent of city's electric light plant of Crawfordsville, Indiana.
Wabash Plain Dealer 12/9/1920:
A crushed skull, sustained by the kick of a horse, resulted in the death Tuesday afternoon at one o'clock, of Thomas Edgar Stone, formerly a resident of this city and living for the past several years between Pierceton and Sidney, Kosciusko County. "Ed", as he was known in Wabash, was 50 years old and was connected for a number of years with the Electric Light Co. of Wabash when it was located at its old plant southeast of Wabash. He followed up electrical work for some time after leaving Wabash, but since 1912 has been living on a farm in Kosciusko County.
The accident which resulted in the death happened while Mr. Stone, who is a trustee of the township in which he lives, and a number of men were working on a road. The horse had fallen in the ditch and the men were endeavoring to get it back into the road.
Mr. Stone's head was caught between the horse and a tree, resulting in a crushed skull, when the horse made a sudden unexpected effort to get up. Mr. Stone lived about three hours after the accident.
The deceased was born in Wabash County at Lincolnville, October 5, 1869, to Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Stone. He was married to Elizabeth Garrison April 24, 1895. One son, Robert, was born to them. He died several years ago.
Surviving besides Mrs. Stone, are the mother, Mrs. Euretta Wagoner of South Wabash, and two brothers, George Stone of this city and Charlie of Dora.
Funeral services will be held from the home Friday morning shortly before 10 o'clock. The body will be taken to LaFontaine for burial. The Masonic Order of Sidney will be in charge of services.
