Albert L. Stoak Sr., 85, of Linglestown, passed away Monday, June 11, 2012 at Blue Ridge Mt. Golden Living Center.

Born in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late Albert E. and Mary M. (Brightbill) Stoak. He was preceded in death by his wife, Catharine May (Horting) Stoak and children, Wendy S. and Randy A. Stoak.

Albert was a farmer and a retired employee of Latsha Lumber with 44 years of service. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII, a member of Linglestown Church of God and enjoyed hunting.

Surviving are four sons, Albert L. Jr. and his wife, Martha, David L., Donald I. Sr. and his wife, Jackie all of Harrisburg and Paul M. and his wife, Sue of Elliotsburg; a daughter, Cathy A. Stoak of Harrisburg; a brother, Samuel; four sisters, Mary Henry, Dorothy Eyster, Alice Weaver and Stella Henry; nine grandchildren and a great-grandson.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 14, at 11:00 AM at Hoover Funeral Home, 6011 Linglestown Rd., Harrisburg. Rev. G. Barry Stahl, his pastor, will officiate. Burial with military honors will be in Wenrich's Cemetery, Linglestown. There will be a viewing Thursday morning from 10 AM until time of service.
