YAKIMA - A loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend went to be with the Lord on March 26th, 2009. Debbie was born in Ellensburg on May 26th, 1953 to E. Jane and Chester Stingley. She lived in Ellensburg through her sophomore year in high school, growing up at the Taylor Logging Camp. She moved to Naches and graduated Naches High School in 1971. Moving to Yakima in 1972, she met and married James R. Carmack on June 2, 1973. Here they settled and raised two wonderful sons.
She then worked for Sears for more than 20 years. In 1996 she began working for Summit Crest Construction and in 2001 also began working with her son Scott at Zillah Chiropractic.
Debbie's greatest joys in life were her husband Jim, sons Scott and Shawn and the brightest and most precious ray of sunshine, grandson Joseph. She so loved all the holidays with family and friends. Vacations spent boating, fishing, skiing, and going to the ocean, was when she was the happiest. She was so very generous to those in need and had a huge heart for all animals, big or small.
She was preceded in death by her loving father Chester Stingley. She is loved and will be missed by us all. Debbie is survived by her husband, James R. Carmack, Yakima, sons, Dr. Scott Carmack (Kristin), Zillah, Shawn Carmack, Yakima, grandson, Joseph Carmack, Yakima, mother E. Jane Stingley, brother Dusty Stingley (Tina), Yakima, nieces, Tara and Lisa, nephew, Monty, great niece, Haley, all of Yakima, mother-in-law, Margie Jorden, Selah, brother-in-law, Gary Carmack, Sunnyside, and her best friend forever, Sharleen Woods, Ellensburg.
