HAMILTON - Arvin Wayne (Dock) Stidham, 53, Hamilton, died on Tuesday, July 27, 1993, in Cullman County as a result of a truck accident. He was born on December 1, 1939, in Marion County, the son of Eli Stidham and Lora Childers Stidham. He was a veteran and a truck driver for Grayson Mobile Home Transport. His parents preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, July 29, 1993, at 2 p.m. from Rocky Grove Free Will Baptist Church with burial in the adjoining cemetery. Ray Edgar and Charles Linley were the officiating ministers.
Survivors include his wife - Geraldine Weeks Stidham, Hamilton; son - Allen Stidham, Hamilton; step-son Danny Frederick, Hamilton; daughter - Annisa Stidham, Decatur; step-daughters - Debbie Purser and Anita Frederick, both of Hamilton, Teresa Petaruski, Gary ID., Danielley Gavin, Norfork VA., Debbie Frederick, Philadeplhia, PA.; grandchild - Andy Wayne Stidham, Vernon; step-grandchildren, Tyler Russo, Philadelphia, PA., Jennifer Petrauski, Gary ID., Latasha Purser, Hamilton; two brothers - Claburn Wilburn Stidham and James Stidham, both of Hamilton; three sisters - Louise Harris, Lois Faye Lindley and Ann Pugh, all of Hamilton; and a host of nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
Pallbearers were his nephews, Danny Harris, Roland Harris, David Stidham, Mike Linley, Rick Linley, Mark Vann, Marty Vann, Jeff Pugh, Matt Pugh, Phillip Pugh, Rodney Stidham and Shane Stidham.
Hamilton Funeral Home directed the services.
