WILMA C BLAKE
Wilma Constance Blake, 74, of Edina died at 6:25 Saturday evening (Dec 10, 1983) in Grim-Smith Hospital where she had been a patient since December 08.
Born October 19, 1909 at Monticello, she was the daughter of Theodore and Carrie Mae Gilbert Stice. On September 23 1924 at LaBelle, she was married to Justin Edward Blake who preceded her in death on February 28 1976. Also preceding her in death were one grandson, Stephen Elliott on Jun 28 1960.
Surviving are five sons. Charles Eldon Blake of Southwest City, Donald Edward Blake of Edina, Leon Blake of Dittmer, Billy Dean Blake of Memphis and Robert Dale Blake of Quincy, Illinois; three daughters, Mrs. Cletus (Wilma Laree) Burkhardt of Springfield, Mrs. Frank (Lillian Nadine) Parrott of Wichita, Kansas and Mrs. Donald (Peggy Jean) Gragg of Edina; 25 grandchildren; 30 grat-grandchildren; four brothers, Chester Stice of Monticello, Richard Stice of Quincy, Illinois. Preston Stice of New Zealand and Willard Stice of Pensacola, Florida and six sisters, Mrs. Harlan (Mary) Edwards of Williamstown, Thelma Blake of Quincy, Illinois, Mrs. William (Geraldine) Allison of Keokuk, Iowa, Norma Johnson of LaBelle, Mrs. Vernon (Gilberta) Rayle of Dallas Texas and Mrs. Melvin (Doris) Allison of Lewistown.
Mrs. Blake resided in Knox City, LaBelle and Canton before moving to Edina in 1942
Funeral services will be held at ten o'clock Tuesday morning (December 13, 1983) in Hudson-Rimer Funeral Chapel, Edina. The Rev. Donald Howald will conduct the services. Burial will be in the Linville Cemetery, Edina.
