Shirley Mae Stewart Aliff, 56, of Cross Lanes, formerly of Marmet died April 17, 2003, in CAMC General Hospital after a short illness. She was a registered respiratory therapist with CAMC Memorial Hospital in Charleston with 15 years of service and attended Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Elkview, WV. She was also a longtime volunteer with the Special Olympics. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ellett Aliff in 1983, and sister, Louise Conaway in 1992. Surviving are daughter, Julie McKinney of Cross Lanes; brother, Robert Stewart of Beaver, WV; niece with whom she lived, Janet Stewart of Cross Lanes; grandchildren, Jacob and Abigail McKinney. Service will be 1 PM Tuesday, April 22, at Leonard Johnson Funeral Home, Marmet with the Rev. James Lough officiating. Burial will follow in Williams's Mountain Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 PM Monday, April 21, 2003, at the funeral home.
