Lent Stewart Dies After Long Illness --
Lent Stewart, 70, died last Saturday afternoon at his home in the Alto community after an illness of three years.
The funeral was held Monday afternoon at the Steed-Anderton Funeral Home where services were conducted by the Rev. Nelson Duke. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Letha Stewart; four sons, Clarence Stewart and Hobson Stewart of Alto, James Stewart of Cowan, and Oscar Stewart of Stevenson, Alabama; three daughters, Mrs. Edith Mason, Scottsboro, Alabama, Mrs. Leona Hall, Winchester, and Mrs. Flossie Halcomb of Stevenson, Alabama; brother, Wade Stewart of Arlington, Texas; 23 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
