CADIZ, Ky. — Doris Laverne Miller, 70, Athens, Ala., died Monday, Jan. 15, 2001, in Athens Limestone Hospital of natural causes.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Spry Funeral Home, Athens, with Doyle Graham officiating. Burial will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday in Cerulean Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 until 9 tonight at Spry Funeral Home. Goodwin Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.

A native of Old Hickory, Tenn., she was born Sept. 21, 1930. She was a retired clothing inspector and was a member of the Southside Baptist Church in Athens.

Survivors include five sons, Mike Miller, Athens, Asa Miller, Clarksville, Tenn., Carl S. Miller, Lexington, Joseph K. and Martin Eric Miller, both of Dover, Tenn.; a daughter, Debbie Laverne Scott, Clarksville; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the piano fund at the Southside Baptist Church.
