Claudia Stewart Cook died Sunday, March 28. Funeral services were held Thursday, April 1 at Lackland Baptist Church with Dr. Gordon J. Malkowski officiating. Burial was at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with Porter Loring in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Cook was born Dec. 1, 1926 to George Truitt and Veda Mae Cole Stewart in Martin County, Texas. She lived all of her early life in Lamkin and Hamilton County. For many years she owned and operated her own professional Modeling Studios and Agency. Though married to two Air Force Officers, she continued her own professional career until her last husband's death.
Mrs. Cook had been in the real estate business since 1980.
She was preceded in death by husbands Clarence Craig, Frank Turner, and James Dick Cook; and one sister, Cathryn Lee Marshal.
She is survived by four sons, James Craig of Austin, Kenneth Lloyd Cook of Houston, David Frank Cook of Oklahoma City, OK, and Dick Cook of San Antonio; two sisters, Betty Jo Horton and George Mae Woods both of Brownwood; ten grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
