Miss Stewart and Mr. Jones are both graduates of the University of California and claim many friends in this vicinity. Miss Stewart is the granddaughter of Mrs. R. E. Rowland and a niece of Miss Louise Rowland, who reside at the Hotel Shattuck, and is a graduate of the university with the 1915 class, later taking a post graduate course for a year.
This morning's wedding was celebrated by Bishop William Ford Nichols in the presence of a small company of relatives, Miss Leona Jones attended the bride while Rev. Charles A. Verliger was best man.
Mr. Jones and his bride left immediately after the ceremony for a honeymoon in Southern California. They will make their home in Paso Robles, where Rev. Jones is recotr of the Episcopal church there.
Miss Stewart is a member of a prominent Visalia family, her father being one of the owners of the Daily Porterville Messenger.
