Birth: 1869
Death: Oct. 6, 1931

Walter W. Stewart, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Stewart, died very suddenly, Tuesday morning, October 6th, about 5:30 o'clock at her (sic) home near this place. Mr. Stewart retired on Monday evening seemingly in his usual health and about 5 o'clock in the morning his sister Maude, with whom he made his home heard him get up and go down stairs and in a short time came back up and went to bed and she heard him make a sort of coughing sound but thought nothing of it until about seven o'clock when she called him and got no response, as she usually did. Upon investigation she found him dead and indications were that he had passed away when she heard the rasping couph. He was 62 years of age and has lived in Sligo since 1881. Death was due to heart failure. He is survived by two brothers, B. B. Stewart of Rimersburg, Amos C. of Callensburg, two sisters, Miss Maude at home, and Mrs. Nora Dickey of New Kensington. Funeral services were held from the home on Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock conducted by Rev. Howarth, Presbyterian pastor. Interment in Sligo cemetery, under the direction of R. R. Hawk, funeral director. New Bethlehem Vindicator 1931
