Birth: Jul. 27, 1889
Bald Knob
White County
Arkansas, USA
Death: May 20, 1936
Little Rock
Pulaski County
Arkansas, USA

When P. D. Huff, Sr., ordered Ora's tombstone, he gave the wrong date of birth. It should have read 1889 rather than 1890.

The following announcement appeared in the "Eagle," a local newspaper regarding the elopement of Ora Steward and Phineas D. Huff: "Mr. P.D. Huff and Miss Ora Steward, the beautiful and popular daughter of Sheriff L. J. Steward, were married at Devall's Bluff last Friday. The event was rather unexpected and quite a surprise to many of the bride's friends here. Mr. Huff was raised in White County, where he has many friends, but for some years has been in business in Little Rock. The "Eagle" wishes the new made pair much happiness in their journey through life."

The following obituary of Ora appeared in the White Co., AR, newspaper following her death on 20 May 1936:
"Mrs. P. D. Huff Dies Following Operation: Mrs. P.D. Huff, about 47 years of age, passed away in the Baptist hospital, Little Rock, Wednesday, May 20th, at 2 p.m. following a major operation Wednesday, May 12. Mrs. Huff was born in Bald Knob and was reared in White County, moving to Little Rock after her marriage. She was a consistent member of the First Christian Church and was a devoted wife, mother and daughter. She is survived by her husband and four children, Virginia, P.D., Jr., Lorraine and Martha, all of Little Rock; her father, L. J. Steward of Searcy; two sisters, Mrs. Lester Kirby of Searcy and Mrs. Sid Faulk of Little Rock; two brothers, Roy C. of Winsboro, LA, and Reiser of Searcy. Funeral services will be held in Little Rock tomorrow afternoon. We were unable to learn the exact time and place of the funeral. Mrs. Lester Kirby and her father, Mr. Steward were called to Little Rock yesterday morning and they reached Mrs. Huff just a few minutes before she passed away. Reiser Steward and Lester Kirby will go to Little Rock tomorrow for the funeral. Mrs. Huff's many friends here regret to learn of her death."
