OBITUARY
Beach
Anna M. Stewart was born in New York State, August 17th, 1858 and died at Norcross, Minn., April 27th, 1909, age 50 years, 8 months and 10 days. She was united in marriage to Wm. L. Beach in Elkhorn, Wis., June 16th, 1880, to which union were born two sons and one daughter. The eldest son died in infancy. In the spring of 1881 they located in Stratford, Iowa, where they made their home until in the year 1889, when they removed to Palo Alto Co., where they remained until the spring of 1904, when they located in Traverse County, near Norcross, Minnesota.
The deceased leaves a husband, a daughter, Mrs. Clarissa A. Howard, one son, Chas. H., and three grandchildren. Also three brothers, John, Ira and James Steward to mourn her departure.
She was converted while in her teens and united with the Methodist Episcopal church, of which she remained a member until her death. She always took an active part in church work until her health began to fail.
The immediate cause of her death was diabetes.
The funeral services were held at the Stratford M.E. church, Saturday afternoon, conducted by the pastor Rev. J.L. DeWitt, who preached from I Cor. 15:37 "Thanks be to God, who giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." The remains were interred in the Oakwood cemetery.
