Services for Pfc. Charles R. Stevenson, 20, of 2919 Mayhew in Dallas, who was killed in action at Quang Tri, in South Vietnam February 5, will be held at 1 p. m. Friday at the First Methodist Church in Rockwall.
Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park in Dallas, with military rites.
His body arrived in Dallas Wednesday.
Private Stevenson was a native of Fate, Rockwall County. He was a graduate of Rockwall High School and worked for Western Union in Dallas before entering service. He attended the Rutherford Data Processing School while he was employed in Dallas.
He was a member of the Casa Linda Methodist Church in Dallas.
He joined the U. S. Marine Corps in April 1967 and trained at Camp Pendleton, California before going to Vietnam last November.
Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Ada Jo Stevenson of Dallas; three brothers, Donald R. Stevenson, with the U. S. Army in Korea; Larry Stevenson and Mike Stevenson, both of Dallas; two sisters, Miss Derendia Stevenson and Cheryl Ann Stevenson, both of Dallas; his father, James R. Stevenson of Dallas; grandparents, Mrs. Elsie Amis of Fate, in whose home he was reared, and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Stevenson of Dallas; and great-grandmother, Mrs. G. W. Ellis of Royse City.
