Mary Melcina Stevenson was the daughter of Joseph Osborn Stevenson and Melsine Jane Flatchal, the fourth of the couple's eight children. She married Joseph Scott Spurr about 1889 in Monterey, California, and became the mother of Helena Ruth Spurr and Allen Bruce Spurr. Joseph died in 1913, and Mary married Cleve Lacy, 26 Feb 1914, in Santa Ana, Orange County, California. She is buried with her second husband, her first husband having been cremated. She is my great grandmother.
