Christopher R. Stevens, SR., 53, of George Street, Green Island died at St. Mary’s Hospital, Troy, February 9, 2001 after a long illness He was born in Pittstown and educated in Hoosick Valley and was the son of the late Ralph and Catherine Gorman Stevens. He was employed by Allied Signal for 26 years, retiring in 1995. He liked to hunt, fish, go camping and bowling. He was a member of the Troy Rod and Gun Club. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Ashline Stevens of Green Island, one daughter, Tammy Stevens White of New Jersey, Christopher R. Stevens, Jr. and Jason F. Stevens, both of Green Island and SPC Matthew J. Stevens of Georgia, 4 sisters, Arlene Stevens Hull of Troy, Maureen Subcliff of Melrose, Rebecca Hooker of Clifton Park and Martha Yager of
Troy, 4 brothers, George Stevens of Troy, Ralph Stevens of Melrose, Charles. Stevens of Johnsonville and Gilbert Stevens of Melrose and brother of the Tate Donald and Gerald Stevens and Joan Slater, Grandfather of Steven,
