Mrs. Bertha R. Stevens, 88, R.R. 5, Rushville, died at 11:50 p.m. Thursday at the Jackson Nursing Home, Rushville.
Mrs. Stevens, who had lived in the Rushville area for many years, was a retired employee of the Ward Stiltson Company and a member of the First Baptist Church.
A daughter of George and Hettie (Hedrick) Vannatta, she was born Sept. 8, 1894, in Franklin County.
Surviving are two sons, the Rev. William Stevens, Albion, Ill., and Lloyd R. Stevens, R.R. 1, Rushville; a daughter, Mrs. Ralph W. (Freda) Miller, R.R. 5, Rushville; 15 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.
One son, [Donad H. Stevens], one brother and two sisters preceded in death. [Aurelia VanNatta, [Irene] Cecil Vannatta and Carl Vannatta]
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Moster and Sons Mortuary, Rushville with Don Heller officiating. Burial will be in East Hill Cemetery, Rushville. Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary.
