Lois W. Fama, 84, of Delaware Water Gap, passed away early Saturday morning, February 23, 2013 at the VNA Hospice House, East Stroudsburg. Born: Lois was born in Richmond Borough, Staten Island, NY on November 16, 1928, a daughter to the late Wilson B. and Bertha M. (Decker) Sterner. Personal: She was raised in Richmond Borough. Lois graduated from Port Richmond High School. She was employed as a Bookkeeper at Troy Hills Manufacturing, in Rockaway, NJ; and Siemens Solar, Camarillo, CA, where she lived most her life. Lois relocated to Delaware Water Gap, just three years ago. She loved to read, and enjoyed gardening. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors: Surviving is her loving husband of 64 years, John Fama, Delaware Water Gap; sons, John (Jack) Fama and his fiancee Laurie Krazyk of Blairstown, NJ; and Gregg Fama and his wife Linda of Columbia, NJ; daughter, Connie Picking and her husband Terry of Chester, NE; sisters, Frances Ford of Lake Ariel; and Alice Middleton of Albuquerque, NM; grandchildren, John Fama and his companion, Teresita and her daughter, Jamie of Columbia, NJ; Tammy Demers and her husband Terry of Tannersville; great-grandchildren, Noah, Caleb and Joshua Demers, Tannersville; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death in addition to her parents was her sister, Carol Larkin Services: Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 28, 2013 at 11:00 a.m., at the Lanterman & Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 27 Washington Street, East Stroudsburg, PA, with Deacon Arthur Fama officiating. Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum at Laurelwood Cemetery, Bryant Street, Stroudsburg. A public visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 from 2 to 4:00 p.m., and from 7 to 9:00 p.m. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the VNA Hospice of Monroe County at 502 VNA Road, East Stroudsburg, PA 18301.
