Grace L. Dayhoff, 85, Gettysburg R. 5, died this morning at Michael Manor following a lengthy illness.
Born in Harney, Md., she was a daughter of the late Emory and Carrie (Fowble) Sterner.
She was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, White Hall, the Ladies Aid Society of the church and the church choir. She taught Sunday School there for many years. She was also a member of the Ladies Republican Club.
She is survived by her husband Samuel J. Dayhoff, Gettysburg R. 5; four sons, Theron S., Gettysburg R. 5; Francis S., Gettysburg R. 5; Kenneth J., Gettysburg R. 5 and Robert J., Gettysburg R. 9; two daughters: Alta K. Flickinger, 131 E. Middle St. and Bernice M. Appler, Littlestown R. 1.
Also three brothers, Dr. Rev. Ivan L. Sterner, Fairfield R. 1; Glenn L. Sterner, Gettysburg R. 1 and Willis Sterner, Baltimore, Md.; two sisters, Mrs. Luther Fox, Harney, Md. and Mrs. Ira Fohl, Aspers R. 1; 21 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Interment in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Gettysburg.

Pallbearers were her grandchildren: Allen Flickinger, Gene Appler, Jay Leatherman, Dawson Harner, Robert Dayhoff Jr. and Terry Dayhoff.
