Ruth I. (Sterner) Brenneman, 96, formerly of New Freedom, died Friday, May 30, 2008, at her daughter's residence. She was the wife of the late Harvey C. Brenneman, Jr.
Born March 31, 1912, in York, Ruth was the daughter of the late Claude and Mazie (Rinehart) Sterner. She worked as a bobbin winder at the former Wirecloth, Mount Wolf, and for the former Superior Wirecloth, Shrewsbury. She also was a wire cutter for the former AMP, Inc. in Shrewsbury. Ruth was a lifetime member of Bethlehem Steltz Reformed Church, Glen Rock. She loved to dance, and at 96, this past Mother's Day, Ruth enjoyed dancing at the Moose Lodge.
Ruth is survived by two daughters, Jean W. Bowman of Westminster, Md., and Faye E. Bond and her husband, Orville of New Freedom; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
Interment will be in Bethlehem Steltz Cemetery, Glen Rock.
