Born in Danville, on July 23, 1944, he was the son of the late Lear and Mary (Cashner) Sterling.
He attended classes at Bloomsburg High School before pursing a career as a truck driver. Mr. Sterling drove trucks for various companies, traveling throughout the United States. He retired with over 30 years of experience.
He is survived by several children and two sisters, Linda Sudol of Berwick and Norma Nevius of Danville.
There will be no visitation or funeral service. A private interment will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Kelchner-McMichael Funeral Home.
