Marlin Stephen Dies in St John's
Marlin Ray Stephens, 58 years old, 4619 Wall Avenue, died at 3:07 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at St John's hospital in Joplin where he had been a patient since December 21. Born January 27, 1907 in Mountain Grove, Mo., he had lived in Joplin the past 20 years. He was a dispatcher for the Continental Trailway Bus system.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs Elizabeth Stephens; a daughter, Mrs Stephen Crume, 1812 East Thirty-Second Street; a son, Jim Stephens, Pittsburg, Kan.; a brother Bluford Stephens, Miami, Okla.; two sisters, Mrs Tyrrell Jacobs, San Diego, Calif., and Mrs lee Garman, Kingman, Ariz,; and a grandchild.
Thronhill-Dillion Funeral home will announce arrangements.

M Ray Stephens Services Today
Services for Marlin Ray Stephens, 58, 4619 Wall Avenue, who died Wednesday afternoon at St John's hospital, will be held a 2 o'clock this afternoon at Thornhill-Dillion chapel, with Rev Father B N Harter officiating Burial will be in Mount Hope cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Harold Crume, Joplin and John Riddle, H P Baker, F E Ford, C B Piper and R C Snyder all of Wichita, Kansas.
