Janice Dottery Stephens, 65, passed away December 30, 2012.
Janice was born in Athens in 1947 and was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Alberta Dottery of Watkisnville.
She is survived by her husband of forty-seven years, Wayne Stephens; two sons, Christopher (Rita) Stephens of Hull and Timothy (Misty) Stephens; one granddaughter, Emma; two brothers, Richard Dottery and Ricky Dottery; aunt, Grace Smith, all of Watkinsville; a number of cousins, nieces and nephews.
Janice worked at Suntrust Bank for over twenty years and retired in 2006 to become a full-time grandmother. She was a wonderful, nurturing and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was loved very much and was the center of our universe. She was our rock and will be greatly missed by all.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at 12:30 p.m. at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, WEST. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 1, 2013 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Lord and Stephens, WEST, is in charge of arrangements.
