Jennifer Lynn (Steinmetz) Heding, age 58, died at her daughters home in Tomah, on Thursday, January 15, 2009, of a heart attack.

She was born to Leonard and Ermegeane Steinmetz August 9, 1950, in Sparta, WI. She was a life long resident of Tomah, attending eight grades at St. Mary's Catholic school and was a 1968 graduate of Tomah High School.

She was married to John G. Heding on February 14, 1971, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Tomah. Born to this union were a son, Craig Albert and a daughter, Carey Jo.

Jennifer's life was her children, grandchildren and her extended family. She enjoyed flowers, crafts, reading, and most recently the monthly dining out with her classmates of '68.

Survivors include her children Craig and Carey; six grandsons: Johnny, Brandon, Rhett, Dillen, Jake, and Blake; her mother Ermegeane Baldwin; a brother Gregory (Kathy) Steinmetz; two sisters Susan (Gordon) Clay, Pamela (friend Denny Ryan) Steinmetz; special Aunt Vernie Vandervort all of Tomah; a special Uncle, Jerry Smith of Hayward , California and step -father Ronald Baldwin of Denver. Colorado; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband John; her father Leonard; maternal grandparents Arthur and Susie Winchel; paternal grandparents, George Steinmetz, Albert and Susan Beam; a special Aunt June Winchel, and two special uncles Lewis Winchel and Verlyn "Van " Vandervort.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 17, 2009, 10:30 a.m. at the Torkelson Funeral Home in Tomah, WI. The Very Rev. Steven Kachel will officiate.. Rosary will be held at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, January 17, 2009, at the funeral home with visitation to follow until the time of service. The Torkelson Funeral Home in Tomah is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred. Online condolences are available at www.torkelsonfuneralhome.com
