Elinor J. Demi, 77, of Clearfield died on Saturday, Oct. 13, 2007, at her residence.
She was born Jan. anuary 21, 1930, in Clearfield, a daughter of the late Joseph F. and Madeline C. (McMullen) Stegner.
Mrs. Demi was previously employed at the Card Gallery at the Clearfield Mall for nine years. Prior to that she was employed at the Clearfield County Court House in the prothonatary's office as a deputy for eight years.
She was a member of the Emmanuel United Methodist Church of Clearfield.
She is survived by her husband, Lewis E. Demi Jr., whom she wed May 23, 1959, in Clearfield; three daughters, Betsey McDermott and her husband, Paul, of Clearfield, LuAnn Demi of Clearfield, Jodi Morelli and her husband, Chris, of Pleasant Gap; seven grandchildren, Patrick McDermott, Michael McDermott, Meagan McDermott, Emilee Brown, Noah Brown, Jakob Morelli and Madalyn Morelli; a sister, Anna Bloom of Clearfield; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Thelma Bowes; and three brothers, Joseph, Jim and Jack Stegner.
Funeral services will be held at the Emmanuel United Methodist Church, Clearfield, on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Virginia Eminhizer officiating.
Interment will follow in the Stoneville Cemetery, rural Clearfield.
Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield, on Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. and at the church on Wednesday from 10-11 a.m.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Emmanuel United Methodist Church, 1010 Dorey St., Clearfield; or to the American Cancer Society, 26 S. Second St., Clearfield.
