TRUMANN -- Mary Mae Steen Acker, 46, of Trumann died Monday, Sept. 2, at her home. Born in Marked Tree, she lived in the Trumann and Marked Tree areas most of her life. She was a waitress at the City Cafe in Trumann, a homemaker and of the Pentecostal faith. Survivors include her husband, Andrew John Acker of Alton, Ill.; one son, James Michael Scott Jr. of Trumann; one daughter, Talisa Williams of Trumann; her mother, Mary VunCannon of Trumann; three brothers, James Steen of Jonesboro and Randy Steen and Shorty Steen, both of Trumann; two sisters, Patsy Simpson and Joyce Steen Blagg, both of Trumann; and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, James Edward Steen; and one sister. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Friday in the Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home chapel, with Chad Graves officiating.
