Connie was born to Maybelle Louise Bauss Hall, Connie's mother was full blood German, her father was named as John HALL on her birth certificate. Connie never met her father and we don't know anything else about him, other than on her birth certificate it says he was from Detroit, MI and he was 28 years old.

Connie lived in Galveston, TX until after 1942 when she and John L. Steed Sr. moved to Tulsa, OK with their 3 oldest children.
She is on the 1930 Census in Grimes Co., TX with her mother and step-father Herman Henry William Luedecke.

Connie and John L. Steed Sr. were married Jan 22, 1937 in Galveston, Texas.

John and Connie loved fishing and spending time at their cabin on Ft. Gibson Lake.
