LUCILLE M. BEACH
Lucille M. Beach, 89, Topeka, formerly of Onaga, passed away Saturday, April 10, 2010 at Midland Hospice House. Services are pending. Memorial contributions may be made to Midland Hospice and sent in care of Carey Funeral Home, P.O. Box 196, Burlingame, KS 66413.

LUCILLE M. BEACH
Mrs. Lucille M. Beach, 89, formerly of Onaga, passed away Saturday, April 10, 2010, at Midland Hospice, Topeka.
Lucille was born January 23, 1921, in Linton, ND, the daughter of Roger and Florence (Coon) Stedman. She attended 2 years of college at Moorhead State Teachers College in Moorhead, MN. She taught school for two years at Rothsay, MN.
In the Spring of 1943 she moved to Seattle, WA to be near her family and to work for the Boeing Company. On January 10, 1944, she married Lyle N. Beach, who was stationed at the Bremerton Naval Yard. Lyle preceded her in death on April 23, 1997.
In 1946 they moved to Havensville, KS. They farmed for a number of years and Lyle worked for Michigan Wisconsin Pipeline. In 1964 they moved to Portland, Indiana when Lyle was transferred.
Lucille taught school in Fort Recovery, OH for five years. She finished her Bachelors of Education degree in 1969. In 1970 she began teaching in Portland, IN and in 1971 received her Master's Degree in Education from Ball State University, Muncie, IN.
In 1960, when Lyle retired, they moved to Onaga, KS and in 1998 Lucille moved to McCrite Plaza Retirement Community, Topeka, KS. She was a life member of Ohio and Indiana retired Teachers Associations and the National Education Association.
She was a member of Trinity Southern Baptist Church of Wamego, KS.
Survivors include one son, Lyle (Christa) Beach Jr. of Bryan, OH, two daughters, Linda (Lynn) Lindsay and Judy Beach, both of Topeka, KS, 5 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. She is also survived by one Sister,
Arlene Drachenberg, Milwaukie, OR.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 17, 2010, in the Buck's Grove United Methodist Church, northwest of Holton, KS. Inurnment will be in Buck's Grove Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Midland Hospice, Topeka, KS, and sent in care of Carey Funeral Home, P.O. Box 196, Burlingame, KS 66413, Lucille M. Beach.
