Jean Elizabeth Reek, age 83, of Weyauwega, devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, relative and friend, passed into eternal life on Sunday, December 28, 2008. Jean was born on Sunday, February 15, 1925 in Waupaca to AC and Mabel (Nelson) Stearns. She was baptized on Easter Sunday, April 4, 1926. She graduated from Waupaca High School in 1942. Jean and Leonard Harvey Reek were married on April 21, 1943 in Pomona, California. They celebrated 65 years together in April of this year. She was a faithful servant to the Lord and was a long time member of St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church in Weyauwega. Jean spent her life in loving care of her husband and family, and always putting them first. She enjoyed many years of travel and camping with Len, snowmobiling with friends, reading, sewing, crocheting, long Sunday drives exploring the by-ways of the area, and spending time with family. She is much loved and greatly missed by all who knew her.
