Barbara, 77, passed away at Golden Living Center in Watertown following a lingering illness. She was born the daughter of John & Gertrude (Malone) Stauss. On Sept. 1, 1951, she married Glenn Friedl at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Milwaukee. Barb had been employed at Eaton Corporation and the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. She was a member of Watertown Senior and Community Center and a former member of Watertown Ladies of Elks. Survivors include her husband, Glenn; their children, Mary Beth (Neal) Meyerson of Rockville, MD, Michael (Laurel) Friedl of Clinton, IA, David Friedl of Abingdon, VA, Matthew Friedl of New Richmond, WI and Andrew (Lynette) Friedl of Watertown, WI; grandchildren, Phillip and Rebecca Mey-erson, Uriah (Josette), Jasmine, Noel and Zachary Friedl, Nicole (Mike) Linsen-bigler and Kara and Kevin Friedl; seven great-grandchildren; sisters and brother, Gertrude Thurston of Des Moines, IA, Dawn (Dan) Matthew of Elm Grove, WI and Charles (Betsy) Stauss of Las Gatos, CA; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Ellen Friedl; her parents; two brothers, William and Ronald Stauss; and a sister, Joan Henson. Funeral services were held at the Schmutzler-Vick Funeral Home with Father Thomas Marr of St. Bernard's Catholic Church officiating.
