Sharon Lee Bishoff was born December 13, 1940 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma to Lilly and Pete Stauss. She grew up in Wagoner attending grades one through twelve and graduated from Wagoner High in 1959. She attended Lindenwood College for Girls and later graduated from Northeastern State University with a B.S. Degree and teacher's certificate. She taught high School English in Wagoner and Yukon, Oklahoma. After several years of teaching, she began a new career working as a social worker for the state of Oklahoma's Eldercare group. Sharon enjoyed serving the elderly and dedicated her life to helping others.
She passed away Saturday morning, May 28 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at St. Francis Hospital at the age of 70 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, infant brother, Pete Jr., and younger brother, Jim Stauss of Hulbert, Oklahoma.
Sharon is survived by her children, Curtis and Christopher Johnson, and Pete Caudle and wife, Jana Caudle; one sister, Susan Romero and husband, Phillip Romero; sister-in-law Janet Stauss, and three grandchildren, Tristen, Abby, and Tyler; and numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
A graveside service is scheduled for Wednesday, June 8th at 2:00 PM at the Tahlequah City Cemetery Pavilion. Friends are invited. The family asked all donations or memorials be made in honor of Sharon to the National Lung Cancer Partnership in Sharon's name.
