Norma Jean Huddleston, 79, of Hidalgo passed away at 8:10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2008, at Newton Rest Haven, Newton.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Bishop Funeral Home, Greenup, with the Rev. Gene Creek officiating. Burial will be in Aten Cemetery, Crooked Creek Township, Jasper County. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
In loving memory of Jean, memorials may be made to Crooked Creek Fire Protection District or American Parkinson's Disease Association.
Jean was born Nov. 22, 1928, in Ohio, the daughter of Earl Morgan and Edna Treva (Ward) Stateler. She married Harold Glenn Huddleston on April 16, 1949, and he preceded her in death Feb. 12, 1992. Jean was secretary for Hidalgo Grade School. She was a lifetime member of Areta Chapter 79 Order of the Eastern Star of Casey and attended Hidalgo Christian Church.
She leaves her loving family, son, Duane (wife, Tracy) Huddleston of Hidalgo; daughters, Diana (husband, Robert) Dallmier of Oblong and Dena (husband, Bruce) Rauch of Newton; sisters, Wanda Lee (husband, Stanley) Callahan of Neoga and Joan (husband, James) Taylor of Mattoon; sister-in-law, Shirley Stateler of Greenup; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was a preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brother, Jimmy Stateler.
