Sallie had a sister name Mary. See memorial 155985373. Her parents were John Starritt and Margaret Campbell.
Middle name was probably Campbell her mothers maiden name.
In the 1880 census the following children were in the household: George P, Charlotte M., Edward A., Robert W. J., and Joseph P. S.

In her request for pension for Edward's service she wrote "Paralyzed in 1870 and was helpless ever since."

In 1900 Sallie remains in Tazewell county with her sons Robert and Joseph; and 3 listed as servants Ida Caldwell, Preston Davis, and George Boyd. In 1910 she is living in Chatham Hill in Smyth County in the household of her son Edward a Holmes and her granddaughter Sallie C. Holmes.

She was selected Post Mistress of the Tannersville Post Office April 1883.
