He was a blacksmith; went on a whaling voyage; started for home in 1845 on a Spanish bark bound for Callao, of which no tidings were ever received; supposed to have been lost at sea. A daughter SARAH FITCH, b. Dec 31, 1844, m. Dec. 10, 1868, JAMES A., son of Elijah and Eliza(Turner) Morgan of G., b. Feb 3, 1837; fes. Poquonnock, Ct.
