Alice Louise Smith passed away peacefully in the presence of her son, David, and granddaughter, Angela.

Born in Delta, Utah on March 22, 1918 to John Wade and Edna Callister Starley. Orphaned at the age of nine years old after her mother, baby brother, and father passed away in a three-month period. Raised by Howard and Norene Winters who preceded her in death.

Married Norman Smith in 1940; sealed in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple in 1989. Mom and Dad lived a good and productive life and were able to travel extensively with their good friends.

In the end, due to strokes and illness incident to age, they still had the memories and they'll be remembered for all their kindness and good deeds. Mom, I know you're happy and at peace. But Braden is really not taking this well.

Alice is survived by her son David Smith; grandchildren Angela Romero (Mike), Layton; Jason Smith (Susie), Australia; Andrew Forsythe (Samantha), Orem; and great-grandchildren Jonathon, Jade, Jamie, and Jazmon. Preceded in death by her husband, Norman; daughter-in-law, Margo Smith; siblings, Afton Law, Anne Kiechler, Harold Starley, Venita Brunson, and Kenneth Starley.

Funeral Services will be held in the Wasatch Lawn Mortuary Chapel, 3401 South Highland Drive (1495 East), on Friday, November 26, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the services.
Interment: Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
