Starks, 67, of Dry Prong died at 6:55pm Monday in Alexandria Veterans Administration Medical Center, Pineville.
He was a native of Selma and a construction worker. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of Anchor Lodge 221 F & AM, Pollock.
Survivors include his wife, Velma Starks of Bentley; one son, Jim Starks of Pollock; one brother, Harvey Starks of Williana; five sisters, Edith Lafargue of Keithville, Bobbie Sue Smith of Tioga, Sylvia Downey of Pineville, Georgia Lee Atwell of Georgetown and Mary Monk of Oden, Ark., and two grandchildren.
Friends may call time of services today in the funeral home. Masonic graveside
