Tony A. Starcer, 66, passed away at Kaiser Foundation Hospital in Los Angeles, Calif. Mr. Starcer is survived by his wife, Jackie Starcer of Hacienda Heights, Calif.; son, Jerry Starcer of Newport Beach, Calif.; two brothers, Rudy (Rita) Starcer of Granada Hills, Calif.; John (Rose) Starcer of Pueblo; and two sisters, Jean Brenna of Lake Elsinore, Calif.; and Dorothy Ziatz of Pueblo. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, John and Johanna Starcer; brothers, Frank Starcer and Chris Starcer; two sisters, Mae Campbell and Angie Benson. He was born on Sept. 16, 1919, in Pueblo and moved to Norwalk, Calif. Mr. Starcer was division manager of May Company for 29 years until his retirement in February of 1985. He was a member of World War II, 8th Air Force, 91st Bomb Group Memorial Association; B-17 Combat Crewman and Lineman Association; 8th Air Force Historical Society; Memphis Bell Memorial Association; American Legion Post No. 359 of Norwalk, Calif.; Veteran of Foreign Post No. 3947 of Chino, Calif.; and he was known world wide for his nose art on the B-17. Mass of the Resurrection at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 11, at St. Mary Church. Rosary recitation at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 12, at Imperial Chapel with Father Alan Schwab, O.S.B. officiating. Interment, Calvary, Imperial Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends at Imperial Reception Hall following interment. Pueblo Veterans Ritual Team will perform military honors.
