Mrs. Hayes, who owned and operated Eastside Nursing Home in Warsaw until her retirement in 1989, was a daughter of John & Wanda Witkowski Stanish. She was the first female member of the Warsaw Kiwanis Club. She was the wife of the late James Hayes, who died in 1977 and mother of the late Michael Hayes, who died in 1965.
Surviving are a daughter, Barbara Hayes Yatteau; 2 sons, Richard Hayes and John (Sarah) Hayes; 8 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
