Marriage Notes for Alice Adella Mabel Keeler and Ingate Daniel Stanford:
Placer Herald, October 14, 1889
At noon, Tuesday, at the home of the bide's parents, Mr. and Mrs A. C. Keeler of Edgewood, Miss Adella Keeler of Edgewood and Mr. Ingate D. Stanford of Redding were united in marriage by the Rev. John Chisholm. Only relatives of the contracting parties witnessed the ceremony. All present then sat down to a bountiful wedding breakfast. The next few hours were given to the reception of the bride's many friends. After partaking of refreshments, Mr. and Mrs. Stanford said good bye to all and started for their new home. A "hold-up" took place at the schoolhouse where a happy throng presented the bride, their former teacher, with an elegant volume of Shakespeare. Mrs. Stanford responded with a donation of cake.
The young people will make their home at Redding. The bride is one of Placer County's best-------- and the groom is a most promising young man. The Herald thanks them for a liberal portion of cake, and wishes their married life may be one of unalloyed happiness and lasting prosperity
