Services for Mrs. Zelma Bumpus, 80, will be at 3 p.m. Monday at George A. Smith and Sons Main Street chapel with the Rev. Tommy Stutts officiating. Burial will be in Brown’s Cemetery.
Mrs. Bumpus died Saturday at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital after a week-long illness.
She was born in Henderson County, daughters of the late William H. and Donnie Dyer Stanfill, lived in Madison County most of her life and was a member of Cotton Grove Baptist Church where she was a charter member of the WMU and the Faithful Workers Sunday School class.
She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Thomas, Mrs. Jerris Warmath and Mrs. Russel Winslow, all of Jackson, and Mrs. Hight Daniel of Huntingdon; three sisters, Mrs. Velma Fincher of Jackson, Mrs. Sue Griffin and Mrs. Margie Patrick, both of Jacksonville, Fla.; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
