Obit: E. Evalyn Fickle, 81, of 256 N. Van Buren Street, Frankfort, Indiana, died at 11:44 a.m. June 7, 1977 at Milner Health Care Center, Rossville, after a six-month illness.
Born May 5, 1896, in Wolfe County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Houston and Lucinda Carrie Sword Stamper. In 1915 she married Harry Fickle. He died November 5, 1918.
Mrs. Fickle moved to Frankfort from Kentucky at age 15. She was retired from the Jules Simon Co. after 23 years there. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Bethany Class, and World War II mother.
Survivors include one son, Harry J. Fickle of Frankfort; two daughters, Mrs. John (Helen) Brennan of Chicago and Mrs. Paul (Jean) Wehrenberg of Bethesda, Maryland; one sister, Mrs. Clifford Thompson of Frankfort; one brother, Charles D. Sword of Grants Pass, Oregon; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Services will be conducted on Friday, June 10, 1977 at Goodwin Funeral Home and burial will be in Green Lawn Cemetery, Frankfort, Indiana.
