Marjorie J. Paschke, 74, residing at 62430 Locust Road, South Bend, Ind., passed away at 12:50 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 9, in Saint Joseph's Regional Medical Center. She was born on Jan. 12, 1925, in Riley, Kan., to the late George R. and Esther Harrison Stahl, and had lived in South Bend since 1962, coming from Minnesota.
As Marjorie Stahl she was married on Nov. 10, 1945, to Henry A. Paschke, and together they had four children. She retired from Associates Investment Company for more than 23 years, where she served in the computer library.
She is survived by a daughter, Lois J. McDonald of Washington, Ind.; three sons, Harold A. (Patricia) Paschke, Lowell (Patricia) Paschke both of Mishawaka, Ind., and Kenneth E. (Risa Yates) Paschke of Laurel Md..; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and by two sisters, Roberta (Wayne) Marshall of Bushnell, Neb., and Betty (Gene) Barlow of Winnemucca, Nev.
Marge had been an active member of Ridgedale Presbyterian Church since 1962, where she was a member of the Morning Women's Circle and served as Deaconess from 1990 – 1992. She enjoyed bowling for many years and also enjoyed crafts and sewing.
Services for Mrs. Paschke will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 12, in Ridgedale Presbyterian Church. Dr. Jack C. Volkers, pastor, will officiate. Graveside services and burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 11, in the Palmer Funeral Home, 2528 Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend, and one hour prior to services on Tuesday in the church. Contributions in memory of Marge Paschke may be made to the American Cancer Society.
