Betty L. (Stahl) Crouch

Betty L. (Stahl) Crouch, 69, died Friday, Jan. 25, 2002, at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis. She was a resident of Indianapolis.

She was born July 4, 1932, in Indianapolis. Her parents were Herschel and Margaret (Baker) Stahl. She married F.E. "Bob" Crouch on Aug. 4, 1953. He survives. Other survivors include a son, Rick Crouch of Indianapolis; four daughters, Lucinda Darlene Kennedy, Deborah Goodwin, Kimberly Dawn Crouch and Mary Crouch, all of Indianapolis; a brother, Walden Stahl of Florida; two sisters, Thelma Henderson of Florida and Velma Andrews of Dayton, Ohio; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert E. Stahl.

She was a 1949 graduate of Shortridge High School.

She was employed for several years by Murat Shrine Club as a hostess. She also worked in the U.S. Post Office as a clerk in the late 1960s and early 1970s. She was also a volunteer at Clinton Young Elementary School.

She was a member of Parkway Baptist Church.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. today at New Crown Cemetery in Indianapolis. Friends may call from noon to 1 p.m. today at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Greenwood Chapel.
