BUTLER- MARJORIE BOYER, 71, died Saturday, April 19, 2003 in the Laurels of DeKalb nursing home.
Mrs. Boyer was a homemaker. She worked at Marshall Clothing in Butler and was a waitress at the Butler Bowl and The Coffee Cup in Butler. She was a member of the Auburn Moose, the Hamilton Fish & Game Club, Home Demonstration Club, Troy Township Election Board, CB Club and DeKalb County 4-H. She was an avid camper and loved bingo and euchre.
She was born Aug. 24, 1931 in Waterloo, and raised by her stepfather, Jim Ansley, and her mother, Florence (Hamman) Ansley. She married John Boyer on June 11, 1949. He died Oct 16, 2002.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law of Waterloo; one daughter of Butler; two brothers, Ralph Ansley Jr of Fort Ashby WV, and Rick Ansley of Angola; four sisters, Sharon Cleverly of Fremont, Shirley Lothamer of Fremont, Connie Gill of Angola and Bonnie Combs of Aloha Oregon; five grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 am Wednesday in Feller Funeral Home, 875 S Wayne St Waterloo. The Rev Ralph Diehl will officiate. Burial will be in Waterloo Cemetery. Calling is Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
