Shawnee resident Oniece Verdie Clouse, 81, died Wednesday, Feb. 22, of natural causes at Shawnee Care Center.
She was born March 21, 1924 in Maud to Harvy Stacy and Bullah Radford (Guinn) Stacy.
She attended high school in Maud.
On August 1, 1940, she married James Edgar Clouse.
Clouse was a homemaker. She enjoyed making porcelain dolls, all types of crafts and paintings. She was an "all around artist". She also taught her craft of doll making at the local Shawnee Senior Center.
She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers and one sister.
Survivors include her husband, James Edgar Clouse, of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Sandy and Ronald Sadler of Garden Grove, Calif.; son, Jim Clouse of Shawnee; four grandchildren, Michael Crider, Brian Crider, Christina Clouse and Analicia Ticer; three great-grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.
Visitation will be today from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Resthaven Funeral Home. Service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Resthaven Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Mike McCauley officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.
