She was born Nov. 8, 1928, in Buffalo, N.Y., the daughter of the late Bernard and Clara (Monczynski) Stack.

She married Francis Neumayer on May 26, 1951 in Allenton. He preceded her in death on Jan. 25, 1985.

Mrs. Neumayer enjoyed playing Euchre, Skip-Bo, and Pinochle. She was active in several churches during the years.

She is survived by five sons: Mathew and Penny Neumayer of Kinde, Francis Jr. and Mary Neumayer of Ingadine, Terry and Susan Neumayer of Cassopolis, Timothy of Sandusky, and Douglas and Kimberly Neumayer of Snover; two daughters: Ms. Sue Rosander of Delmar, N.Y., and Pamela and Jay Chambers of Gaylord; three foster children, Bobby Amiel of Port Huron, David Cherry, and Richard and Roetta Cherry, all of East Pointe; 20 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one brother, Daniel Stack of Allenton; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one grandchild, Kyle; one sister, Loretta Coenan; and one foster child, Dawn Amiel.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Barbara G. Neumayer will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2005 at the Apsey Funeral Home in Deckerville. The Rev. Terry Neumayer and Pastor Jay Chambers will officiate. Burial will be in Downing Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today and 11 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be given to the Port Huron Hospital Hospitality House or the Deckerville Community Hospital.
