Mrs. W. M. Butler passed away at the family home, just east of Aledo, at midnight Friday, May 30, after a brief illness. Georgia Ann Stacey was born near Alexis May 8, 1864. She was one of six children, whose father died when she was eight years old. In 1880 she, with her mother and sister, moved near Viola, where on Feb. 18, 1886, she was united in marriage with William M. Butler, and in 1907 they moved to their present home near Aledo. Mrs. Butler is survived by her husband and four children, Harry Lee, Nellie Myrle, Fred Preston and Myrtle May. Funeral services were conducted from the home Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock by Rev. T. S. Pittenger of Macomb. There was a large attendance and many beautiful floral offerings. Interment was in the Aledo cemetery.
